Here's what caught my eye this week! Actually, I took all of these photos last week, because Ryan took the camera to NYC. He says he's taken a few photos, but he has yet to upload them to flickr or his website, so I will bug him about it again tonight. Also, I'm LOVING Revenge of the Radio-active Lady from last week! It's a hoot and also very interesting!
First, we have Cooking Light Comfort Food. If you're on a diet, fear not that you can't have delicious, creamy, warm things!
Sometimes, when I get a cookbook or a craft book, I mark the pages I want to try with post-it flags. As you can see, I will have this book checked out for quite some time. I probably won't turn it in until we move!
Gouda, Onion and spinach quiche.
Sweet potato casserole.
Have your caramel cake and eat it, too.
Next, we have Sweety Pies, by Patty Pinner. One of the best collections of pie recipes I've ever seen.
Granola pie. Why didn't I think of that?
Apple meringue pie. Why did I think of THAT?
And Vegan Diner, by Julie Hasson. I am not a vegan. I do not ever care to be a vegan. However, I respect the choices vegans make and admire their causes whole-heartedly. Having a husband with Crohn's, I'm always on the lookout for vegan foods and recipes, because they tend to make him feel better. This is one of the best cookbooks I've seen so far.
Again with the post-its! I can tell this one is going to be good!
Beer battered onion rings. It's been far too long since I've had anything like that, being on weight watchers and all! As a matter of fact, I'm just going to leave this post at that!
This may not help your diet....but I JUST made beer-battered onion rings, and they were PERFECT. I didn't know exactly how much I loved onion rings until then...and I'm pretty sure my thighs were better off back when I didn't care about them.
