I just...can't...get....motivated to blog. It's soooo hard without the camera! I did so many fun things over the weekend to keep myself busy, too!
- I went to Crafty Supermarket at the Clifton Cultural Art Center, where I bought a beautiful pair of earrings from Courtney Fisher and a framed photo of the Esquire Theatre in Clifton by the lovely OPB studios. I also can't forget to mention that I ate a pork and apple taco with fresh guac from Picnic and Pantry, and had curry coconut gelato and lemongrass sorbetto from Dojo Gelato, and all of this was with my lovely friend, Kelly.
- I visited by library BFF, John, at his and his partner, Stephan's bakery at Findlay Market, Skirtz & Johnson to get my Mom a Cannoli for Mother's Day. Cannoli's are my Mom's favorite treat, and being diabetic, she rations her Cannoli-eating to only the times she can get the absolute best ones she can find. Skirtz and Johnson, so far are her favorite. It was a surprise when I got there and discovered they were celebrating their one-year anniversary! Yay for them! They had The Stardevils from Rabbit Hash playing, and a cookout, featuring a sausage that Stephan Skirtz developed, and they now feature year-round at Eckerlin Meats (also in Findlay Market). John was sad to hear that we are moving away, but gave me a sausage and a cannoli AND a french macaron for free! Yes!
- Then I had an adventure at Home Depot trying to figure out which type of tomato plant to buy for my Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day, which is a tradition, but that's a boring story!
- The next day was Mother's Day, and least to say, it was crazy. More on all the details later, but I did get to see my Mom and bring her a coconut custard cake and plant the tomato for my Mother-in-Law.
I so wish I could have taken pictures of everything, because it was filled with such beautiful things, but I hope Ryan is taking some great photos that I can share with you soon!
why no camera?
